Hermetic seals for quartz oscillators are comprised of a stem (an iron-nickel alloy ring with 2 lead wires sealed in glass) and a zinc-copper-nickel alloy cap. By simply joining them together under pressure, a highly reliable vacuum seal is created. This allows for a very accurately controlled external stem diameter and cap internal diameter, as well as facilitating the application of the soft plating of tin alloy to the ring part of the stem.φ1.2mm (small sized) models are mainly used as the tuning fork shaped oscillators (32 KHz) in cellular phones.The number of oscillators used in watches and digital products such as computers and digital cameras is increasing every year.　We have a large assortment of products in the φ1.0mm 〜 φ3.0mm range.
