Hermetic Seals for Secondary Battery Cells (for Medical Equipment)

Product Overview

Special metals including titanium alloy, stainless steel and platinum-iridium are used in the lithium-ion secondary battery cells for human implantable devices such as pacemaker, artificial inner ear and nerve stimulator because those special metals are biologically compatible and chemically stable.
We provide feedthroughs to hermetically seal the battery cells by utilizing our proven technology to seal these special metals to glass.

Features

Special glass with excellent chemical resistance is used for our feedthroughs, since the feedthroughs used in the Li-ion batteries should have corrosion resistance to electrolyte. Our feedthroughs that consists of special metal (titanium alloy, stainless steel, Pt/Ir, etc.) sealed with special glass protect the long-life Li-ion batteries for a long period of time.
